Tools for compression and flexure testing
Tools for compression and flexure testing
When you want to experience precision with security
In compression tests and flexure tests, it is particularly important to position the specimen correctly in order to achieve the same results when repeating tests. With appropriate insertion options and spindle adjustments, our tools can make a targeted contribution to increased repeat accuracy. We use high-quality materials in our production. This has a wear-inhibiting effect on fins and supports and contributes to the durability of our products.
Special features of DEMGEN tools
Tools for folding tests
DEMGEN tools are also ideally suited for folding tests. As the force component acts very strongly outwards in this test, we ensure that the supports are well stabilized.
Stable and low-torsion design
Compression and bending tests always involve high forces. Nevertheless, we want you to be able to test precisely and avoid incorrect values as far as possible. That’s why we calculate an optimum ratio of material and material thickness when designing the tool structure to ensure a stable stand and low-torsion structure.
Benefit now from our user-friendly tools for compression and bend testing and save time and money.

Customization options for the tools
Interchangeable solutions for different test requirements
Do you want to test samples with different material thicknesses? For this purpose, you need a different fin for each new sample, e.g. one with a larger radius for a thicker material sample. No problem. With the DEMGEN interchangeable systems, you can easily exchange fins and supports in a few simple steps. This saves time and money.
Plain bearing elements to reduce friction
We also have solutions in our range for special requirements in compression and bending tests. For example, if you want to reduce friction on the specimen, we can integrate roller bearing supports into the tool on request.
Coupling elements for quick functional expansion and calibration
We offer special coupling elements for almost all DEMGEN clamping tools.
With this technology, you can couple other applications to our tools, i.e. install them in an existing system. This allows the inspector to convert the tool independently without the need for a machine setter. This simple conversion allows you to switch from tensile to bending testing, for example, saving you set-up time and costs.
Safety extension for greater occupational safety
If a specimen is particularly hard or brittle, it may break in the tool during measurement. To minimize the risk of injury to the operator, we offer additional safety extensions, e.g. a splinter guard or separating protective devices.
Demgen toolmaking
Our toolmaking department manufactures for you:
- Cutting tools
- Punching tools
- Finish cutting tools (1 stroke)
- Progressive cutting tools (several strokes)
- Bending and forming tools
- Compound tools (forming and cutting)
- Progressive compound tools (several sequences of forming and cutting)
If the quantity is so large that it is no longer worth producing parts by hand or having them laser-cut, we can build suitable tools for you for machine production. We can also grind, maintain and repair your tools.
New tools
We design cutting, punching and drawing tools for you so that you can shape sheet metal and steel parts. We design these so that they fit perfectly into your machinery. We will be happy to advise you on the design of the press.
With long tool life and short set-up times, our toolmaking products stand for high quality.

Service: Repair and maintenance
In the service area, we offer repair and maintenance work. If a tool is defective, we will visit you to inspect and measure it and take it to DEMGEN for repair. If necessary, we can optimize your existing tool by adapting or converting it to increase your productivity. It goes without saying that we sharpen or regrind your tools to ensure that you achieve excellent results in the long term.
We round off our service range with the offer that you can store and stock spare parts manufactured by us at DEMGEN in order to reduce reaction times to a minimum.
